Russia and China are not actually allies, they are in fact enemies, so don't get into the whole "Communist Bloc" way of thinking, the Russians and Chinese can and should be played off each other, this was in fact what Nixon did, once the "Domino Theory" was proven wrong in Vietnam, to wit, Reagan didn't win the Cold War, Nixon did.

PYONGYANG — North Korean state media warned on Tuesday of a nuclear attack on the United States at any sign of American aggression as a U.S. Navy strike group steamed toward the western Pacific.

North Korea's official Rodong Sinmun newspaper said the country was prepared to respond to any aggression by the United States.

"Our revolutionary strong army is keenly watching every move by enemy elements with our nuclear sight focused on the U.S. invasionary bases not only in South Korea and the Pacific operation theater but also in the U.S. mainland," it said.

So if this war occurs I guess the next question would be how long does it go? How many causalities? How many dead? Will there be use of nuclear weapons? What will Korea look like after? Will China, South Korea/United States fight over what to do about what's left of North Korea?
I guess the quicker the better? This will be America's biggest geopolitical test in a long time...

I've heard china has been setting some funds aside for the inevitable collapse but I don't know how true that is. It's rumored to be a massive fund. Interestingly they do supposedly have a lot of ghost cities...
