It showed some Mary Sues tendencies lately which is really sad, it was great.

It was better than III. III was nothing more than lightsaber porn and screw the EU. All that would have done was take the excitement and unknown out of future movies.

Screw the EU? Why? I don't see why the whole EU along with the expensive video game had to be torched. Why do you think 3 was saber born?

They can work some of the EU in when they see fit while not predetermine the next 6 films. They wisely scrapped it and will use good elements from it when it makes sense. As for III being lightsaber porn......well that is basically all it was because Lucas can't write a script to save his life.

You think the TFA script was good? There was a lot of great pre TPM stuff that got wrecked. If friggin Bioware with it's giant budget could work around the EU, why cannot the movies. There was no need to torch everything. I was expecting post ROTJ stuff burned, not everything.

You still rent movies? At a Blockbuster?

I found an actual physical movie rental store a few months ago and it's been really nice renting from them. Costs a little more than redbox or on-demand but the selection is much better and it's actually curated a little bit and you have real people around you that you can ask about the movies.

When I first went in I figured they must be on their last legs but I've found that a lot of old people are usually in the store so they're tapping the whole market of tech-illiterates and the nostalgic. It really is a nice feeling to go rent a movie and have a deadline of when to return it instead of the overwhelming Netflix where I end up browsing and maybe watching nothing.

In Netflix's defense, I just watched Cave of Forgotten Dreams on there and loved it. There were moments when it was sappy but the gestalt of the images, music, and Werner Herzog's voice affected me and it was a feel-good film.

I don't know about where you guys live, but there are Red Box kiosks in ever supermarket, Walmart, and drug store where I live. People rent physical DVDs all the time.
