Environmentalists are freaking out because EPA director Pruitt ends Environmentalist Shakedowns
EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt recently issued a directive to end a 20-year string of “sue and settle” cases that have funneled untold millions of tax dollars to environmental organizations. Predictably, those groups and their allies are apoplectic about it. Many of these groups have grown from grassroots citizen movements to gigantic cash-flush conglomerates, with much of the cash coming from the government they appear to be fighting. Many now have separate legal arms with hundreds of attorneys, whose primary job is to sue the government and keep the cash flowing.
These organizations vehemently object to the phrase “sue and settle,” saying it oversimplifies a very complex legal procedure. But in fact, the strategy isn’t really very complicated at all.
The Real Reason Greenies Are Freaked Out by Trump’s EPA Pick
With the blessing of the Department of Justice, the EPA has been going after major corporations and telling those corporations that they can pay a massive fine to the federal government or pay a lesser amount to various environmentalist groups.
More often than not, to get the EPA off their backs, the companies fork over money to leftwing run environmentalist groups. Those groups then begin a vicious cycle. They start hounding the corporations that give them money, file complaints with the EPA, then get the EPA to shake down the companies for more money.
Land grabbers have hissy fit about not being able to put land off limits to Americans.
The Secretary of the Interior has not made any time for an independent committee that works to designate new landmarks and put more American resources off limits to the people. So, Three-quarters of the members of a federally chartered board advising the National Park Service abruptly quit.
The resignation of nine out of 12 National Park System Advisory Board members leaves the federal government without a functioning body to designate national historic or natural landmarks. It also underscores the extent to which federal advisory bodies have become marginalized under the Trump administration. In May 2017, Zinke suspended all outside committees while his staff reviewed their composition and work.
US Forest Service Hiding Enviro-Damage by Illegal Aliens
The Immigration Reform Law Institute sued the USDA Forest Service on behalf of the Federation for American Immigration Reform on Thursday.
The lawsuit seeks data outlining the effect of illegal immigration on federal lands in California taken care of by the Service.
The Service has failed to provide numerous records which had been requested by FAIR through the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA).
This information includes the amount of land the Forest Service has closed to the public since fiscal year 2015; an estimate of how many people have illegally crossed the border into two national forests since 2011; the amount of resource damage and wildlife costs created by campfires since 2013; the number and cost of the law enforcement officers stationed at the lands. https://www.libertyheadlines.com/us-for ... al-aliens/
Just remember citizens, if you caused that damage you'd be in jail.

You seemed shocked by that? Is that par for the course these days?

Perhaps the best measure of Pruitt’s success is how determined his enemies are too destroy him. The Climate Industrial Complex – aka the Green Blob – is a large, powerful, and vengeful beast and includes not just Democrats but also “Swamp” Republicans such as Chris Christie. Christie recently joined in calls for Pruitt to be fired on the basis of a feeble story, heavily touted in the liberal media, about how Pruitt is paying below the market rate to rent a condo on Capitol Hill belonging to an energy industry lobbyist.
If the Green Blob claims Pruitt’s scalp – and really, Christie should be ashamed to have joined in the bully mob – it will be a grievous blow to Trump’s energy and environmental policy. Still, his achievements thus far will speak for themselves. And can hardly do much harm to his next rumoured ambitions: either governor of his home state, Oklahoma – or Attorney General.
