I would assume that he has been briefed on warplans for fighting North Korea and a timetable when it would be possible to do that.

And that he's totally OK with the plans, ready to go to war. Why, he was so happy when he launched those Cruise missiles to Iraq err.. Syria, and nothing happened. I think Trump would like a little war to focus attention somewhere else.

Just add that above up with what Trump said(tweeted) about Tillerson's efforts:

“I told Rex Tillerson, our wonderful Secretary of State, that he is wasting his time trying to negotiate with Little Rocket Man,” Mr. Trump wrote on Twitter, using the derogatory nickname he has assigned to Kim Jong-un, the North Korean leader. “Save your energy Rex,” he added, “we’ll do what has to be done!”

Now add to that Putin's comment from last Wednesday, something that he seldom has referred to:

President Vladimir Putin said on Wednesday that a military strike against North Korea designed to destroy its nuclear and missile program might not succeed because Pyongyang could have hidden military facilities that nobody knows about.

Russia is strongly opposed to the idea of such a strike, an idea U.S. President Donald Trump has floated, favoring a mixture of diplomacy and economic incentives instead. But Putin, speaking at an energy forum in Moscow, mused on the subject on Wednesday, making it clear he had serious doubts about the military efficacy of such a move, as well as other political and moral concerns.

“Can a global strike against North Korea be launched to disarm it? Yes. Will it achieve its aim? We don’t know. Who knows what they have there and where. Nobody knows with 100 percent certainty as it’s a closed country.”

One thing Trump is totally clear about is what he is thinking. This guy is so obvious. Just as he when his campaign was getting a little help from Russia, When Trump Jr had already had the "I love it!" meeting with the Russians, one month later Trump makes this bizarre statement: "Russia, if your listening, I hope you will be able to find the 30 000 emails...."

I'm starting to change to point of view that Trump will make an "pre-emptive attack" on North Korea.

Russia doesn't want North Korea defanged, and is trying to talk Trump out of that option, but it's a perfectly viable option and Putin knows it, he just doesn't want America to think that it is.
