Yep, sorry Limeys. The next American Football league won't be playing games in London.

NFL players, coaches and owners jump in bed with Kaepernick dan join him in kneeling, now getting sued by Kaepernick.
Fucking NFL, you made your bed, lie in it.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to how this plays out. How do you prove "collusion not to hire" in a court of law without any evidence??
He didn't anticipate the Machine eating his little protest for breakfast, assimilating it into themselves, and casting him aside for the trouble. Now he's got no career, but a few mill in the bank after quitting his job, and an army of 'supporters' that are already forgetting about him.
Of course, how could he have seen it coming? He only had a football-college education, after all... Poor millionaire on suicide watch.

Maybe he can move to Cuba and help revive American football on the island. Pro tip: if you don't stand for their national anthem, they will torture you.

While ignorant of the laws, I wouldn't be surprised if he wins if the only issue is "were his skills desirable?"GrumpyCatFace wrote:Yeah, I'm looking forward to how this plays out. How do you prove "collusion not to hire" in a court of law without any evidence??

Sports is one of the few jobs where your effectiveness can be very closely measured and in his last year, he put up decent numbers on a terrible team.
Now, if the owners can simply say, "sure, he was good enough, but we are in the entertainment business and we didn't think our fans would like him," then he's probably boned.

I don't know how he could win. Teams get rid of players all the time for no more than being a poor teammate, or being a distraction to the team. There would have to be a league wide written letter to black ball him.
Like BroGrump said, it will be fun to watch. The NFL now gets to defend itself against the player they paid $100 + million over a few years and defended against the POTUS.

Well, I just don't know. There obviously are some issue where these explanations don't fly.
"We think our fans would prefer a white QB" "We thought a Muslim player would be distracting."
Is taking a political stance an issue where they can wash their hands of you?
Is using the workplace to take a political stance?
Anyway, I do think this is the primary reason for his unemployment. Though maybe his skills deteriorated very rapidly.
Actually, thinking it through, I suppose the central question is really if there was collusion, or if every team independently said "we don't need this."
