You joke, but that is actually not that bad of an idea. Not sure the politicians would feel the same way, but what do they know?DBTrek wrote:How about . . . Amnesty for those who help build the wall?
"You DACA?"
"Yeah"
"Excellent, here's the mortar, here's the bricks. Once you hit the required buildout marker I'll have your citizenship papers ready to go"

The "What the hell..." faces would be fun to see. At least in part of the UN speech
So the listener kind of gets to pick and choose how they want to take it and what to focus on. I wouldn't worry about Trumps base, it's not really going anywhere. There are some boundaries to that; Amnesty and a Wall are the 2 primary. Another unprovoked war would be in there too.
NIGGA
NO WALL = NO VOTE
AMNESTY FOR DACA = NO VOTE
You don't get it man. In four years if he hasn't done something to address the flood of illegal and legal immigrants, muh "natural conservatives' that turn states blue overnight, it's over anyway. No point in even voting anymore.

No, silly. He just needs another 4 years to do what he wants to for us. He loves us, but it's a big swamp, and we need to give him more time to MAGA.Nukedog wrote:HAHAHAHAHAHAGrumpyCatFace wrote:The kind of people that are "the base" for Trump will not be swayed whatsoever by his failure to do anything. Grumpy gets it. nuke you are not trump's base, stop projecting your views on Trump's base, you are political misfit, your views are not indicative of trump's base.GrumpyCatFace wrote:No, silly. Hardly. The base consists of many people that consume the same media I do and use the same platforms I do. I keep trying to clue you people in on this but it's not working I guess. It's not the WHOLE base but it's a significant enough part to sink his ass.

Oh, I stand by my prediction that he'll never see office again. I still don't think he makes it another year, but we'll see.Nukedog wrote:Hardly. Re: THE ERA OF TRUMP
The alt-right didn't win Trump jack, they are useful idiots that are swiftly being thrown under the bus, because Trump doesn't need them. The alt-right won't sink Trump even if they turned on him as you suggest, not even close, so why should he give a shit about their opinions? DACA is not make or break for Trump's base, just a tiny ass extremist portion of his base that will never vote Democrat in 2020, that's simply not a threat that Trump cares about because it's an empty one.Nukedog wrote:Hardly. Your views are indicative of a small extremist minority that considers itself to be "Trump's base", but really these folks are just inflating their own sense of self importance by thinking they won Trump the election and so he'll be their champion to rightfully repay them, but they are delusional. They might get mad once they realize that Trump has pulled the rug out from underneath them, but they aren't voting Democrat in 2020, especially when the Dems put up someone who will no doubt infuriate these folks to no end.
The alt-right will grit their teeth and vote Trump in 2020, just watch them.
