The kind of people who lend money to gamblers start crippling people when they do not pay.
If a bank loses money to a gambler, they aren't getting it back.
Maybe in small amounts spread widely the risk can be diluted and some profit made. That's certainly possible.
But people are dumping money into crypto currencies right now in a similar fashion as they did with Yahoo stock back in 99. Before the crash.
Like Yahoo in 99, Bitcoin was a great but risky investment l8ke five to ten years ago.
