Gwynne is much more conservative than I am. She's one of the 53% of White women who voted for Trump.

I think the fact is, it's always been a war. There's no way we can be humans and not have conflict between the sexes. The trick is in finding a balance of power, but somewhere in the previous century, western men just surrendered, and any man who does try to push back gets socially punished for "misogyny".

And the thing is.. why should their not be some animosity between our sexes? i don't begrudge women for having all their problems towards men. Why is it that they can talk mad shit about men all the time, but we aren't allowed to criticize them?

Of course, dude, that's their tactic.
In a "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" alliance (where men are the enemy, especially Old White Men), enough of the other side (women, minorities, weirdos) have got into positions of authority & power (think Google) that they can use obviously illogical complaints as cover to justify their actions. "Hostile Work Environment for Women" doesn't make sense, but it doesn't have to, it only needs to be the façade used by the women in positions of authority to further their agenda, which is reversal of power & control from men to women.

I just think we need to take a step back from all this and recognize that it's perfectly okay for us to have problems with the other sex or even other races in many contexts. There's nothing wrong with it.

I do happen to think a lot of the stuff that western feminists complain about is stupid, but that's only because they got everything they justifiably could have demanded a long time ago and all they have left is policing how men sit on trains or what they are allowed to say, etc.

There is going to be an epic pushback against what happened in the 1960s, and women had better figure out how to keep the pendulum from swinging very far back to the other side, because what they are doing now is almost guaranteeing that it will go much too far when the pushback does occur. We can already see that the pendulum has reached maximum amplitude. People aren't buying their shit anymore.
