Very cool. Did you get any cool overseas posts? I have a buddy who just got through boot camp and training for the Air Force and he is about to be stationed in Japan. He is pretty excited about it.DBTrek wrote:Nah, just after it.

Did a year here - a little north of there actually.
Not too far north, obviously.
Japan is probably a waaaaaay better deal.

Re: Leaker of Classified Docs ARRESTED
My cousin did ESL in a small town near Seoul South Korea. He liked it, he just said that Koreans don't have nearly as interesting a culture as the Chinese or Japanese. Kind of bland in comparison. He told me if I ever go abroad for a teaching gig I would be better off in China as their women are more promiscuous. Korean women are more prudish I guess. He took some cool pictures though, went to the DMZ, had a blast. He said that alcoholism and drunk driving were rampant in his town. The principle at his school would call him to the office to drink Soju (probably spelling it wrong) which is a kind of rice liquor. He brought some back and it tasted like hydrogen peroxide. I imagine I would have gone blind if I had more than a few shots. He said people in the town would drive shitfaced, get in an accident, and just walk away from the cops when they showed up.DBTrek wrote:Did a year here - a little north of there actually.

In Primo Exulto? I thought the US Engineer motto was Essayons or some Frenchie shit like that, or is that just the Corps of Engineers?C-Mag wrote:12X

Oh, I forgot to mention..
Let's also reflect on the fact that the same people who vetted this chick for access to national secrets are the same people who have what people like GCF characterize as a robust vetting procedure to ensure we don't get the "refugees" that will blow themselves up in a tween pop concert..

She looks like a slightly less butterface butterbody version of Amy Schumer.

Field Engineers say, First In, Last Out. We are either blowing up someones defense to get Infantry in or blowing up valuable shit before we leave.
Modern mechanized warfare has changed the job a lot. Seventy-Three years ago it was like this on Omaha.
or probably worse were the Rhine Crossings into Germany. Those Engineers built bridges while under direct fire from a superior prepared positions. Those poor bastards had to work, and wait for the round that was going to kill them. I don't know how they did it.

Yeah, umm, I'm guessing that picture is about as close to Omaha beach as kindergarten is to a UFC fight.C-Mag wrote:Seventy-Three years ago it was like this on Omaha.
