In what bastardization of the English language does
submitting to international rule = taking back control?
Y'all are fucking weird.
Take back control was the Brexit slogan.
We now have so much control that Nigel can't get any fuel and Boris has gone into hiding.
So much winning.
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

And it happened in a vacuum.
Nothing transpired in 2020 and 2021 that was any different than normal global operations.

Well there's no shortage of fuel, just tanker drivers.
Boris has now started issuing emergency visas to EU drivers and the Army are set to start delivering fuel by the weekend.
Seems 'Project Fear'' wasn't all lies after all.

More like self inflicted wound over ending freedom of movement.

More, self inflicted wound by not being prepared for the ending of freedom of movement.

That is starting to happen.
Sign up bonuses of up to 5 grand are being offered by some haulage companies.

Correct.
The government chose to dismiss it as project fear instead.

Aren't free market forces amazing?
Supply of drivers low.
Demand high.
Wages up.
Beautiful.
Same reason the Amazon warehouse workers are getting offers to have their college paid, and Walmart is jacking wages up to $16 per hour.
If only people were content to let it operate without interference more often.
(Of course, the wages have to go up because the government is interfering by paying people more *not* to work than have a job, but you get the idea)
