Maybe nothing happens to anyone.

I'll give Dan credit where it is due here. He said many many years ago, that current presidents are very reluctant to investigate and prosecute ex presidents, because some day the current president will be an ex president. I believe he is 100% right.

They really shouldn't use the expression "digging for dirt." They should call it "digging for oil." When the oil gets unearthed it shoots out of the ground and sprays everywhere. Everywhere. Who knows who or where it will hit? Oil is also combustible.
I'm just sick of the political maneuvering. There's no amount of community organizing or boycotting or anything else that citizens can do that is going to help anything. The best option is to join parallel societies and let the corpse of America rot in peace.
I think politicians have lied and stole since the dawn of man. I don't think it can be changed. Some are better than others. Warts and all, I like Trump considerably more than Clinton, Bush, or Obama, but he's playing games the same as they did.

I think how Americans got themselves into this pickle is thinking that perennial unsolvable problems could be fixed by the gov't. Some things don't have a solution, and the cure is worse than the disease. Everyone wants the govt to do everything, and be involved in everything. That is what causes these ridiculous people to wreak havoc on us with the power we give them.

You are a Christian no? The idea of original sin is something that Christians seem to understand far better than progressives. Christians believe in evil. They know it exists. progressives have simply replaced evil with ignorance. If only we had better education or leaders or experts than we could achieve this perfect society where scarcity, vices, bad choices, and inequality won't exist. You can see exactly where that leads. To San Francisco or any other dysfunctional major city. And that's in America. It has lead to far worse in places outside the US.

I think we'd all be better off accepting that humans will never rid themselves of these problems and understand that living with them to an extent is what being human is. You can fix some of them and take the sharper edges off, but only temporarily and salvation does not come from govt. God, family, and personal initiative are all far better places to look if you want to make the world better imo.

I agree with you. But there's no fixing the bloat in the United States government, at this point. That is why I suggested creating or joining parallel societies where you can help one another, rather than relying on the federal government for anything.

I like the idea of parellel societies. I think it is as American as apple pie. Shit, that is what Americans did throughout history. The Mormons did it, the Amish do it, Orthodox Jews and Christians do it, and hippies and far right groups do it now. Our country has a lot of open space, and I think that acts as a steam release valve. If that is what you want for yourself and your family, I say more power to you. Seems like the folks who go off and do their own thing enjoy it quite a bit.

I will say this though man. Right now at least, the progs are not winning. More Americans than ever distrust the media. There are numerous other ways to get info. This forum is one of them. They are shrieking and throwing tantrums and using hyperbolic language because they are not getting their way. When things go like folks want, they are happy. There is pushback. Outside the Acela corridor and the pacific coastal cities, their message is not being heeded, and is indeed being challenged. Its being challenged in the courts. I am optimistic.

In spite of all the bullshit going on, it is quite humbling to me how the movers and shakers of America have kept this place prosperous and habitable. I have had no part in making this nation as good as it is, and I am thankful that there are many who value capitalism and liberty. They are up against a lot, and are still crushing it.

Blood in the water
Which ones? Where they dragged the bank safe down the street or where Dwayne Johnson drove a Japanese tuner car out of a skyscraper? The post paul walker docs were just not the same.
