Re: THE ERA OF BORIS
Not true.
Pro-Brexiteers said that working out a new deal with Europe was going to be easy. They said we could be like Norway or Canada. Now they are saying that they were for a no-deal Brexit all along.
Remainers said negotiating a new deal was not going to be easy and a no-deal exit would be catastrophic.
Fairly obvious who was lying.

For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

The Pro-Remain side pretended like the world was going to end if they voted Brexit, they are all liars, you're just a rube who believes their bullshit, so you think it's the truth. Catastrophic my ass, you're a clown.Montegriffo wrote: ↑Wed Jul 31, 2019 1:58 pmNot true.

Everyone from the Bank of England to the CBI and several former chancellors and PMs said that no deal was the worst possible outcome.
This was just dismissed as ''project fear'' which is our version of calling every criticism of Trump TDS.
It's obvious now who was a lying douchebag.

No deal ain't catastrophic, leaving the EU is not catastrophic. There will be a deal with the EU, sooner or later, and leaving without one is not the end of the world. Y'all are nutjobs.Montegriffo wrote: ↑Wed Jul 31, 2019 2:34 pmNot true.StCapps wrote: ↑Wed Jul 31, 2019 2:20 pmThe Pro-Remain side pretended like the world was going to end if they voted Brexit, they are all liars, you're just a rube who believes their bullshit, so you think it's the truth. Re: THE ERA OF BORIS
You don't even understand the consequences of no deal.
All our trade deals with something like 120 countries would be wiped out.
Tariffs of up to 40% on imports of food.
Massive disruption at our ports as customs checks are made on hundreds of thousands of trucks every day.
Just the uncertainty and loss of investment will be enough to throw us into a recession.
Woe betide you point this out though, the uninformed will just shout ''project fear'' at you.

Re: THE ERA OF BORIS
Project fear is 100% accurate. Renegotiate your trade deals, when you do, they will be better than they ever were in EU, it's a good thing, not a bad thing. If the EU wants to be petty and tariff the UK, that hurts them more than it hurts the UK.Montegriffo wrote: ↑Wed Jul 31, 2019 3:05 pmYou don't even understand the consequences of no deal.

Fuck the EU and their attempts to extort the UK into staying. All the more reason to get out now.

It's not just EU tariffs we would have to contend with. No-deal means WTO terms which means tariffs on all food imports from anywhere.
is the same shit the Brexiteers were selling. They said we could make new deals on day one after leaving the EU. What they never admitted was that new trade deals take years, sometimes decades.Renegotiate your trade deals
They never admitted that entering negotiations without the advantage of a huge trading block behind us would end in worse deals than we could ever get with one.
Not that anyone except far-right nationalists were even campaigning for no-deal before the referendum. All the leading Brexit campaigners including Boris said that we would leave with a favourable deal.
Lies upon lies that all the low info voters fell for.

Re: THE ERA OF BORIS
You'll get better trade deals, because you won't have to make concessions so other EU countries can get the trade deal they want, because you are negotiating deals to fit your needs, not the EU's needs. All countries in the world are not going to raise tariffs on the UK just because they leave the EU, especially by 40%, absolute nonsense.

I'll add WTO terms to no-deal Brexit as things you have no idea what you are talking about.

Re: THE ERA OF BORIS
I'll add it to thing you have no idea what you are talking about. Even if that happens for two seconds, they going to dial those tariffs back right quick, it makes no sense to slam the UK with tariffs for leaving the EU, especially by non-EU countries. Don't be scared homie.Montegriffo wrote: ↑Wed Jul 31, 2019 3:41 pmI'll add WTO terms to no-deal Brexit as things you have no idea what you are talking about.
