Scott Adams operates on a plane of persuasion no mere mortal can comprehend.

I hope that Adams' stepson learned his lesson and stops fucking around with fentanyl. That shit is highly addictive and can get you killed. It will stop your heart. This might be the wakeup call he needs to turn his life around! That kid doesn't know how lucky he is to still be with us.

I agree with executing people who substantially contribute to the opioid epidemic.

He's calling on Xi Jinping to execute the Chinese CEOs responsible for the opioid epidemic.Martin Hash wrote: ↑Mon Oct 01, 2018 6:23 pmI doubt that last night Scott Adams felt like that. Which, scarily enough, is a very possible outcome if Adams convinces Trump to put this opioid issue in the trade negotiations.
They executed CEOs for poisoning American children with lead. This is way fucking worse than that.
I am all for killing people profiting from death. If my son died like that I'd want to go all Jimmy Stewart on those motgerfuckers too.

Did the Chinese government illegally smuggle the fentanyl into the US? I'm just guessing that some sort of US government agency is responsible for checking that medicine coming into the US is safe for consumption or not. You know, for when you're making a list of how many bullets you need to buy and how much you need to pay for gas.
Fame is not flattery. Respect is not agreement.

I mean we got giant pill mills just sitting over here in west Virginia with entire towns hooked on oxycontin. Sure execute the chinese smugglers. And the Sackler family while you are at it.

I’ve said before that Adams was a tough one to include on my Meta list because his Wisdom Arc is not very wide, though it is extremely deep. I put him on/off a couple times but finally decided he was on because the guy’s string of successes are otherwise unexplainable, and I’ve watched him enough to know his insight is at a very high level.
p.s. Trump’s another one who matches this pattern; suspect but ultimately can’t be explained otherwise.

I am a bit disgusted with the way you guys are trying to politicize Dilbert's personal tragedy. The stepson is alive, and is in recovery, and that is what counts. Rather than pointing blame, we should be celebrating the fact that Scott Adam's stepson is still with us. He will be able to write a book about his experience, and help other people kick their addiction. We shouldn't try to shoehorn our own politics into this matter. We should listen to what the stepson has to say, and hopefully learn something useful from his near-death experience, and not go down that path ourselves.
