Somehow - I'm sure my witeness has contributed to the unrest."Every time you do it, the country becomes poorer," Prime Minister Jack Guy Lafontant said in a televised address early Saturday morning as he appealed for calm and patience from the population. "Every time you destroy a store, it's jobs that a Haitian will lose.
"I'm asking you for patience because the administration's vision is clear," he said referring to him and President Jovenel Moïse who has been in office 17 months. "It has a clear program that it has continued to execute."
Describing the government's plans to bring 2,485 miles of roads and 24-hour electricity to the country, Lafontant sounded more like a politician still on the campaign trail than one with a grip on the deepening crisis.

Port-au-Prince is the largest city in the world without a sewage system. 2,5 million people with twice the density of Chicago.

What if all the SJWs and Marxists emigrated from America for Haiti? They could probably live the dream.

And after all that hard work the Clintons put into making Haiti a functional state...

Sounds good to me. The first operation was fucked up.

I knew a guy who was there. He is all kinds of fucked up from the shit he had to witness and do there. Haiti is not our problem. If they try to come here, then sink their boats.
We need to be more like Israelis.
Throwing resources at them makes it worse too. They just increase their population beyond what they can possibly support on their own. Then we are all trapped in this toxic relationship of having to keep an unnaturally huge population of tribal people alive while they blame us for their inability to do anything about their circumstances.
And few Americans really have the constitution to do what is necessary to actually fix that country. If you really want to fix it, then you have to run the fucking place for them. Tell them what to do. Organize their lives. They have the Internet too. They can look up how to create an economy. They just are not able.

I got to deal with Haitian boat people in Gitmo during that operation. Sucked, they were all diseased. Didn't want to work or do anything. Fucked each other over every chance they got................... that was my take away from dealing with them for 6 months.
Clearly throwing resources at Haiti is just throwing money in a hole. We haven't been able to fix them in 100 years, we won't now.

I wonder if you brought someone from pre-independence Haiti to the present, if he would want to stay or go back.
