1. If not for government, who would build roads?
Easy enough Fife. Go to areas with minimal, non-fucntioning, or no governments and tell us about their road systems. Who builds the roads for the uncivilized Amazon tribes? Who builds the roads for the Bushmen? Who built the native American roads before the arrival of Europeans?

Takes a few seconds to look at history and the present to answer point #1 - after which all following points are rendered moot.

They kind of had huge roads in the Amazon before their civilization collapsed.

Built by the tribal government, though.

Is your argument that without the Department of Transportation we would be living 2018 as Amazon tribes, Bushmen, and Injuns? That's what it seems like you are saying. If I'm wrong, straighten me out.

Also, I just gave you a link to a free 400+ page Walter Block book, Broheim.

I'm just sayin'.

At least "take a few seconds to look" before you just jump back behind the boots of your master and start your yip-yapping.

Most of my tax money goes to blowing up Arab wedding parties, and paying off medical insurance companies. Roads are probably .000001% of my tax burden, at the moment.
Your tax money goes to boomers on welfare, clown.

You can set black top asphalt on fire in a pothole and it's going to be ok for all of six weeks or until the first time a freight truck drives over it again. I'm not sure if people realize the amount of abuse a road takes.

No, not even close. Add taxes to the list.

You’d think they might invest that money in making actual sauce.

Fife's good at telling us what's wrong, but is pretty skimpy with the details.

Fife - let's do away with the interstate system and let the free market handle it. How many road-building companies would create their own interstate system? Where do they get the land? Will the free market let as many companies that want build their own interstate system? We could have Acme Company Interstate of Awesomeness & Fife's Dream world Roads of Excellence. All these roads are next to each other, like gas stations tend to do?

Is that the most efficient use of our space?

Genuinely curious as to how a free market competition environment creates the most efficient use of our land, wrt roads.
Why are all the Gods such vicious cunts? Where's the God of tits and wine?
