(1) It's not a narcotic. It doesn't get you high. It's really not even a stimulant in the sense that you would think of that as a recreation. Modofinil just makes you smarter.

(2) I had a prescription for a legitimate health problem. The cognitive side effects were just a happy bonus. I should be taking it now but the VA doesn't want to spend the money on anything but opiods and clonopin.

The drugs I take are by prescription, princess, and they are prescribed for legitimate health problems.

This particular drug is not a recreational drug. It's a cognitive enhancer that happens to help people deal with the effects of sleep disturbances without the jittery side effects of amphetamines.

Weed: makes you stupid, is bad for you, and you have no legitimate health reason to be using it.

Modofinil: makes you smarter and is used for people with actual health problems.
