I do think it's interesting.
Just bustin' your balls a little over the article written by the young lady who thinks she stumbled upon a long lost secret.

But no one noticed the clear parallels to American politics in the 1890s until a historian named Henry Littlefield published an analysis of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz in 1964. For decades, people had dismissed Baum's book as a fairytale for children. But in fact, it carried strong messages about the biggest problems facing America at the end of the nineteenth century.

Ok, well I never knew it, and at the time, the underlying muse for the story was a secret.Okeefenokee wrote:The Secret Political Symbolism You Never Knew Was Hidden Within The Wizard Of Oz
Poorly worded, but not factually incorrect.

Thanks Carlus. Every time I hear Paul Harvey, I'm instantly transported back to c. 1977 at my grandparents' kitchen table having lunch with my grandfather by the radio. And I don't mean in a wistful way, I mean viscerally. Magical.

WGN radio was on in our house, in the kitchen, daily - for hours. When Paul came on - (It was 6 p.m. or something like that,) everyone had to stop talking.
