Tipping point achieved. MLB records more Ks than hits for the month of April. I think that's a first.

Possibly related, attendance is down about 2,000 per game on average. Some of that may be weather related, but that is as of today, and includes teams with domes and those in warm climates. I think the lower numbers are 1/4 due to weather. 1/4 due to boring games (see above) and 1/2 due to teams giving up before the season even started (Marlins, Reds, Orioles, Rays, etc..)

I like pitching so this is fine with me. I really think the weather is a concern. Also the teams that are bad are some fair weather fan bases, San Fransisco and the dodgers. Those teams have to be winning for that rivalry to mean anything.

Buck Showalter is not having a fun Spring.

That slide was dirty. They changed the rules so catcher's can no longer block the plate, but they let this go as legal? Hopefully the next meeting with the Pirates results in a fastball planted in his ribcage.
