I can’t imagine what entrepreneur would accept random partners just because they employ someone? Look for a huge increase in part-time Temps and nepotism if that starts down the rails.

If the First-Come-First-Serve Tories don’t come off the dime, democracy will simply make America socialist.

So much of this.DrYouth wrote:Viable approaches to governing outside the Marxist/Capitalist divide are certainly in short order.
The entire discussion is too nuanced for most people these days.
In fact it gets as polarized and as Government Bad! / Government Good!
We could do a lot better.

Why random? The employer literally gets to select them.Martin Hash wrote:I can’t imagine what entrepreneur would accept random partners just because they employ someone? Look for a huge increase in part-time Temps and nepotism if that starts down the rails.

For the record, I only got to around 6:00 in, when they started with false equivalencies and red herrings.

Is anyone here besides me an employer? I wouldn't "select" anyone if that turned them into a partner.GrumpyCatFace wrote:Why random? "Partner" implies control and ownership, which is not what was proposed.
It is possible to set aside some percentage of revenue for employees, and then work out a scheme to divide that up. Employers still hire, fire, and manage employees as they do now.
