I'm still rooting for Norway because of the Viking runes, though. Also, no cucks.

Indeed on both counts. 2-1 now.Smitty-48 wrote:Tyson Jost is a keeper, but too bad Colorado didn't take Charlie McAvoy; four picks later.

The Swedes have NHL number one draft pick Rasmus Dahlin, but other than that they're not that impressive without their NHL players.Speaker to Animals wrote:But can Canada beat Sweden at hockey? Swedenstan for the gold.
If/when the Canadians are out, I'm rooting for Russia, win one for Pavel Datsyuk and Czar Putin, boys, Slava Rossiya.

Edmonton takes Pujuljarvi at four, Buffalo takes Alex Nylander at eight, betcha they're kicking themselves for passing on McAvoy now, ouch.StCapps wrote:Indeed on both counts. 2-1 now.Smitty-48 wrote:Tyson Jost is a keeper, but too bad Colorado didn't take Charlie McAvoy; four picks later.

Re: 2018 Olympics Discussion
The sleeper in this years draft is gonna be Ryan Merkley, he's dropped to #24 because he has "attitude issues", but I saw him play the other night and he's got top five talent, if he could fall to the Leafs it would be the steal of the draft, "attitude issues" would go away once he's under the rule of Lou Lamoriello, I'm quite sure.
His ceiling is elite, better than Makar with the puck, better than Liljegren, definitely worth the stretch at #24.

Compher makes it 3-1 with an empty netter in the dying seconds, thanks Bernier, much appreciated. The Sharks are fucking shit.

Patty Marleau jumped at just the right time. Love the Vlasic's as people, glad they got paid, but man, that contract is gonna be brutal for the Sharks, 8 years 56 million for a 30 year old defensive defenceman, oof.StCapps wrote:Compher makes it 3-1 with an empty netter in the dying seconds, thanks Bernier, much appreciated. I'd happily take Marc-Edouard and Martine for Leafs Nation, if the Sharks would like to retain 50% of that salary.

A Winter Olympics sport favorite for me is the Biathlon, and the USA sucks at it............ we've never won a medal in the sport. Could change this year. Lowell Bailey is an outside favorite to medal, he's competing well.
