Dwayne Johnson did not invent the term Jabroni, it's been around in America since the turn of the 19th century when the WOP's started flooding in, giambone is the Italian word for "ham", Piemontese dialect, but often used to refer to the jawbone of the pig, hence, hambone.

In the Eye-Talian, giambone could be used as derogatory, hamming it up like a fool, or it could be complimentary, like you're a ham, but you're still a dude, like "bro".
