Re: Dan Carlin
The show where he talked about that CENTCOM meeting was good shit, it was downhill from there basically. Dan used to say he was running out of new ideas for CS shows before he actually did, and then he actually did run out of new material right in the run up to the 2016 election, and has been coasting on fumes ever since. He should have just listened himself and quit the show before there was a very noticeable drop in quality, instead he keeps going as the product continues to get worse and worse, pinning about how one day soon he is just going to drop CS and focus on HH, it's lame.GrumpyCatFace wrote:He’s just a regular moderate, imo. He might have been a little bit more edgy years ago, but he’s speaking to millions of people now. I agree with 90% of what he says, it’s just not as interesting because he’s not pushing the envelope at all.
Worth noting that his tone shifted considerably after he was actually invited to a big political/military conference a few years ago, tho.

Right, and that would be fine if he could get a HH episode out the fucking door. That’s what irritates me more than anything. He’s so intent on not using any outside help that he’s strangling his best product.StCapps wrote:The show where he talked about that CENTCOM meeting was good shit, it was downhill from there basically. I think that's when he sold out. Whoever it was got him the agent and connections to get on other shows.

I think you're right

Soros actually spends a lot of money funding podcasts to push his agenda. Even stuff you might not think of as far-left degeneracy gets funded because the purpose is to get momentum started on converting people.
For instance, if there existed such a thing as an Alt-Soros who funded Alt-Right movements and causes, that guy might fund people like Stefan Molyspew just because he can appeal to people right at the cusp of turning right, and then they later get pulled deeper into the alt-right politics. Dan is like that now for the progressive cause. Of course the forum had to go. Half of us got red pilled and were converting more people on the forum than not. It's kind of funny when you think about it.

The reason there was that he saw that the people were intelligent behind closed doors, not the stereotypes agitators portray generals (and the so-called "establishment") to be. High ranking officers are intelligent and understand complex issues, especially when they aren't speaking publicly and hence reurgitanting the official line, which usually is a bit stupid.StCapps wrote:The show where he talked about that CENTCOM meeting was good shit, it was downhill from there basically.GrumpyCatFace wrote:He’s just a regular moderate, imo. Actually Dan is a prime example of how a military should do it's public relations: get those commenters who mold the public opion and respectfully tell their viewpoint behind closed doors. And when you are a visitor in any military organization, you feel like a VIP person. It works.
But basically Dan is himself. Just more of "seen it already" -experience makes people ordinary.
Perhaps his weakness was his idea that the political duopoly could be rocked somehow with some kind of "change" President, and then the most vocal of his followers believed that Trump would be this "change" candidate that Dan was talking about. But nah, naturally Trump wasn't going to make changes Dan was thinking about, so the most vocal people were dissappointed in Dan.

Re: Dan Carlin
Dan's weakness is that he has run out of fresh ideas and he projects his own martian political beliefs on the silent majority, when Dan is a fringe minority whose views don't represent that of most Americans. It's not just Trump fans who are disappointed in CS these days, the show has fallen off, and any reasonable person can see it.ssu wrote:The reason there was that he saw that the people were intelligent behind closed doors, not the stereotypes agitators portray generals (and the so-called "establishment") to be. It would help if he stops watching cable "news" to get his information about the world.

Re: Dan Carlin
Like most Trump haters, he sucks at picking his battles with Trump and he repeats the same tired bullshit that they all do. No outside the box thinking when it comes to Trump at all, just MSM talking points.Speaker to Animals wrote:It would help if he stops watching cable "news" to get his information about the world.
