I stopped being a Libertarian after several years of reading and listening to lectures. What finally did it was when I was listening to Tom Woods discuss the disconnect of modern Libertarians with the notion of collectivism. Woods was lecturing on the subject of collectivism because young Libertarians were making the same mistake as Marxists, and he was right. He was explicit in stating that collectivism was wrong because the premise was built on sand, that premise being unnatural groups as the foundation of society (class) while seeking to remove natural groups (family), and viewing natural groups as "enemies of progress." You can apply that analysis to every movement today with stunning clarity: gay rights, Muslim rights, open borders, et al. Muslims can decide to change their position and become Christians or visa versa as they're artificial groups. The foundation of society is natural groups. That was a revelation to me about a decade ago, and it led me away from Libertarianism because they couldn't confront the race question, nor could they explain why Nazis and socialist Nordics were economically successful, but Kevin MacDonald (PBUH) could. And here I am on the Alt Right.

Revealing is how today identity politics lost power among unnatural groups but gained considerable power among natural groups. The fear among the cucks, Jews, and POCs was when Whites chose our race as the lynch pin for our identity politics. As a natural group, the White race can act coherently without self-deception. We can seek resolutions with definite answers: Is this good for the White race? Ask that question concerning miscegenation, diversity, multiculturalism, welfare, foreign aid, et al. and see what comes to mind. It becomes far more difficult for hucksters and parasites to peddle their slogans without appearing anti-White. It becomes far more obvious that Whites are not benefiting from the current trends in politics, economics, culture, or religion.

Yes, Americans could defeat the US Government. It's not just about the number of guns and ammo out there either.

First of all the Military would split, what that percentage is you can guess. In many places entire units would leave, taking with them there equipment. Many National Guard units would do likewise, perhaps more than half. Logistically. US citizens have so much in the way of supplies and equipment available to them. For instance, there are a ridiculous number of backyard machinists that work out of home shops and could build just about anything.

What would the Federal Government do ? How would they attempt to control the US citizenry ? They can attempt controlling Food, Fuel, Communications and travel. But would they be able to do it anywhere but in selected cities ? I don't think so.

If it ever came to that, I think the federal government would just dissolve and the country would break down into regions and factions, something like the collapse of the Soviet Union, Washington would just become irrelevant, and the main fight would be between armed factions inside the states which were on the fences between the regions, like Bleeding Kansas style.

Red States and Blue States would rapidly homogenize, and the wars would be in the Purple States betwixt them. Wouldn't have to defend yourself from a central authority so much as defend youself from a lack thereof.
