Let this dumbass tradition be dead

I am just going to give my two cents in here:

But here is the thing. The NFL really does want this to go away, and it was working btw until Trump spoke out DURING A POLITICAL RALLY that had absolutely nothing to do with any of this. First in 2016 came Kaepernick where he kneeled during the national anthem. Then he lost his job as the 49ers quarterback and was basically blacklisted for kneeling during the national anthem. Dude can't find a team that wanted to sign him for the 2017 Season. Kaepernick is basically blacklisted because of this but he personally can't prove it but it's really what pretty much everybody silently agrees on. The NFL was just happy to sweep this under the rug but every since Trump decided to make it his thing, the reverse has happened. Now, it's everywhere and there are too many players to fire/not sign and/or even blacklisted without doing major overhauling (and they are probably won't do it if a multimillion-dollar quarterback is doing it (or making statements) they will stop it because again there is no rule in the NFL saying that they have to stand during the national anthem).

That's why Trump had to act on Friday, Penner. We can't let this go away. You cannot pay for this kind of negative campaign against the entire democratic party. This is pure gold.

No. Trump was in Alabama helping Luther Strange gain points in his campaign to fill Jeff Sessions old set. It was literally Trump just rallying up his base because Roy Moore was leading. This whole thing is just stupid.

I really don't think that the political protesting is going to kill the NFL. I mean rating wise, the NFL was in a more dire state, rating wise, in the 1980s than today. Anyways if not then I hope you like basketball.

The NFL made 8% more in 2016 than it did in 2015. If you remember everyone was chickenlittling about ratings and attendance last year as well
