Re: 'Fire in a Crowded Theater' is a Dead Giveaway
Well, that stupid old dryed-up bitch got her Heckler's Veto after all yesterday.
Free Speech Protest in San Francisco Cancelled Due to Threat of Leftist Violence
Do you see how the censorship is being accomplished?
18 U.S. Code § 241 - Conspiracy against rights
If two or more persons conspire to injure, oppress, threaten, or intimidate any person in any State, Territory, Commonwealth, Possession, or District in the free exercise or enjoyment of any right or privilege secured to him by the Constitution or laws of the United States, or because of his having so exercised the same; or
If two or more persons go in disguise on the highway, or on the premises of another, with intent to prevent or hinder his free exercise or enjoyment of any right or privilege so secured—
They shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both; and if death results from the acts committed in violation of this section or if such acts include kidnapping or an attempt to kidnap, aggravated sexual abuse or an attempt to commit aggravated sexual abuse, or an attempt to kill, they shall be fined under this title or imprisoned for any term of years or for life, or both, or may be sentenced to death.
18 U.S. Code § 242 - Deprivation of rights under color of law
Whoever, under color of any law, statute, ordinance, regulation, or custom, willfully subjects any person in any State, Territory, Commonwealth, Possession, or District to the deprivation of any rights, privileges, or immunities secured or protected by the Constitution or laws of the United States, or to different punishments, pains, or penalties, on account of such person being an alien, or by reason of his color, or race, than are prescribed for the punishment of citizens, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than one year, or both; and if bodily injury results from the acts committed in violation of this section or if such acts include the use, attempted use, or threatened use of a dangerous weapon, explosives, or fire, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both; and if death results from the acts committed in violation of this section or if such acts include kidnapping or an attempt to kidnap, aggravated sexual abuse, or an attempt to commit aggravated sexual abuse, or an attempt to kill, shall be fined under this title, or imprisoned for any term of years or for life, or both, or may be sentenced to death.
Once it has become the norm that certain speakers and assemblers have no faith at all in the state protecting them from open, obvious, and imminent violence, . . . well, you all know where the Rule of Law stands at that point.
Seriously, WTF is the administration doing??

Can anyone give me any reason why the Trump administration hasn't (overtly) done anything about the (what appears from the sidelines to be intentional) failure by police and politicians to maintain the peace in Berkeley, et al, when peaceable assembly is threatened by the leftist rabble with great bodily harm on their minds, in their mouths, and in their hands? The reason for the cancellation of both rallies is the threat of radical leftist violence. And in both cases, the police could not be trusted to ensure the safety of rally participants.
. . .
Gibson's suspicions of a set-up weren't assuaged by the attitude of San Francisco's radical left mayor:
"We don't' trust this group. I never have from the beginning," San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee said of Patriot Prayer.
Lee said the group had not canceled the event in writing, so police will still be there and anywhere else they need to be to keep the city safe.
Gibson said the rhetoric of Lee and other San Francisco leaders is what prompted fears for his group's safety and the cancellation of the rally, and has said the group disavows racism and hatred.

It's what democrats do. They did it in the civil rights era. They did it in the Jim crow era. They are doing it again.
The only thing they changed up was how they play righteous victim when people hit back, but nobody else is buying it.

Although there would be some poetic justice if the 101st airborne would protect conservative speakers on s college campus.

No shit, Sherlock.
The point is "well, you can't yell fire in a theater, so you can't have a permit for a rally that makes our preferred people (or any people) upset (or we're just going to order the police to stand down from keeping the peace)" is a dipshit argument, not based on law, logic, or honest common sense.
When you hear someone using that canard, you can rest assured they are angling towards prior restraint / censorship. Bet dat shit.
Who is saying that?

I have never advocated censorship of any kind, or "prior restraint", or any other sort of suppression of ideas. Fuck off.

Nope I continue to maintain that looking for trouble and finding it is no mark of an oppressed victim. That's all.clubgop wrote:Hecklers veto.
