Re: NFL 2017
The 2017 Pats are being stated as better than the 2007 and 2009 Pats... if that's true, we may see a perfect series... I hope so because I want to see Goodell's face when he has to hand the trophy to Brady...

All of the above. I don't care to separate out playoffs because, again, the Patriots are a much better team year-over-year than the Colts/Broncos.Kazmyr wrote:Go ahead, drown away. Manning isn't even close to the same caliber as Brady...GrumpyCatFace wrote:All of the above. Manning stats were from 1998 to 2015...
Brady's stats are from 2000 to 2016.
Two years more on Manning than Brady, and Brady has already nearly caught up to Manning in every stat if not surpassed him already.

Re: NFL 2017
Even in the regular season, Manning isn't even that much more impressive than Brady, and that's cherry picking stats to make Manning look as good as possible. Manning also had a better offense behind him during most of their careers, and played with way better receivers on average. Manning has almost always had a dope supporting cast on offense, Brady played half his career with no name receivers. Brady is the GOAT, maybe one day Aaron Rodgers overtakes him, given that TD-INT ratio and some career longevity, but Manning is done and Brady has already surpassed him.
Honestly if you think Manning is the greatest of all time, it's probably because you hate the Patriots and can't see straight.
@ Conservative
Side note: Anyone who doesn't think the 2007 Patriots was the best version of the Patriots we've seen to date, they obviously care way to much about the outcome of a single game and need to have their eyes examined, either that or they never saw the 2007 Patriots play and that's why they underrate them.

Its just 10,000 yds, and about 80 Touchdowns, guys. No difference at all.

That's like two seasons, which is the difference in the amount of years their careers have been. If Brady stays as productive as he was last year, he'll pass that in two years as long as he stays healthy, then what argument will you have? Then you can't even grasp at the metric that shows Manning in the most favorable light, because even that metric will have turned against him.GrumpyCatFace wrote:Its just 10,000 yds, and about 80 Touchdowns, guys. None, if we're going to cherry-pick years. Hey, let's just take the best game for each player and judge them on that? Does Brett Favre become the GOAT?StCapps wrote:That's like two seasons, which is the difference in the amount of years their careers have been. Well even now, your argument is pretty flimsy since Brady has fairly comparable regular season stats, and that's the basis of your Manning as GOAT argument. Brady is catching up quick with no signs of slowing down yet too.GrumpyCatFace wrote:None, if we're going to cherry-pick years. So if the best argument you have isn't even a sizable edge in Manning's favor, then how does he overcome Brady's post-season greatness? He doesn't, unless you spuriously write all of that success off, simply because Brady played on good teams that were well coached, yet you don't do that for every other great QB for some reason, even though the same could be said of them, because there is no great QB who won a super bowl and did it all by himself. You know why you don't use that argument against the greatness of other QB's? Because it's a shitty argument, you just forget that in the case of Brady, because you don't like him and Patriots, and you are trying to rationalize that dislike, haters gonna hate.

it's never going to be an objective thing. But I can say with certainty that if you put Manning on the Patriots all those years, they'd have 3 perfect seasons by now.StCapps wrote:Well even now, your argument is pretty flimsy since Brady has fairly comparable regular season stats, and that's the basis of your Manning as GOAT argument. I can say with certainty, that the above statement, is complete nonsense, based on nothing but your subjectivity, which as I say is very questionable, given how much you hate Brady and the Pats, you are wearing rose colored glasses. No unbiased observer would make such a ridiculous claim.GrumpyCatFace wrote:But I can say with certainty that if you put Manning on the Patriots all those years, they'd have 3 perfect seasons by now.
