I thought it was already scientifically tested that they could do it. Or was that the Viking ship thing to new foundland? But I've seen speculation in NatGeo, back when they did anthropology, that the Polynesians would have been more than capable of making the trip. They figured that knotted string web thing could have easily doubled as a map as well as encoding language.

By the way I did that family tree thing on the FamilySearch that the Mormons have going on for free and you'll all be happy to know that I'm a Southerner.
On my maternal Grandmother side I knew that they were from New Mexico but tracing back to the Revolutionary War it looks like we were from Texas, Georgia and the Carolinas. They were from Georgia during the Civil War so I ain't no Yankee!
