May have a winner...I am a sucker for gimmicky features.

At this point of time solar is still too expensive to make it feasible for the majority of people to put on their roofs. At best you will break even over the course of the lifespan of those panels. Because of the high upfront cost most people will say no. Eventually that will change, hopefully that change is because it becomes cheaper to produce and install solar panels, than because other sources of energy become more expensive.

That would be because the water in a plastic bottle is absorbing toxic chemicals from the plastic bottle, while the glass bottle does not have that same issue. The Conservative wrote:

That's the problem, and it is one I've said for years. Solar cells are not being used correctly...TheOneX wrote:At this point of time solar is still too expensive to make it feasible for the majority of people to put on their roofs. That being said, I'm waiting to see what is going to happen, because people are sold a bad bill of goods again. Unless we can do something, solar cells may be a hard sell as they are being used right now.

I know, I just don't like the way people jumped to plastic so quickly... glass if anything was better for you than plastic.TheOneX wrote:That would be because the water in a plastic bottle is absorbing toxic chemicals from the plastic bottle, while the glass bottle does not have that same issue. The Conservative wrote:

Of course there will be an accident at some point. And it will be dealt with quickly and efficiently.Okeefenokee wrote:you gonna risk your career on there never being another accident in an industry you don't know shit about?GrumpyCatFace wrote:I simply can't understand why we don't go full nuclear. Meanwhile, can't wait for the next 100-year wasteland from spilled oil. Those birds are so cute when they're being toweled off by hand.

Try to think like a politician for just one minute. This shit is not complicated. It's emotional.GrumpyCatFace wrote:Of course there will be an accident at some point. How many oil spills have you seen in your life? Did the world end? If another one happens, will the world end? So, the voters won't lose their shit over another oil spill? Great. Rock on.
How many nuclear incidents have you seen in your life? One? Two? The world ending aside, did the media make sure they acted like the world was ending? Did the people believe the media? If another one happens, will the voters think the world is ending? Alright, there's a lot of career danger involved here. Don't stick your neck out too far.
