Oroville Dam may fail tonight
Yeah, I saw that.

I was watching a live video of the damn, and people from other parts of the country were laughing about it.

Enjoy the schadenfreude you mother fuckers.
Dam failures are no joke. In this case, it's the emergency spillway. If that goes, it could compromise the entire dam. This thing is 900 feet deep. :o

It's only fake news if it refuses to be a 24/7 pro-Trump circle jerk.

Another issue, when and if that dam fails, is that prices on food is going up because that water is also important to the growers of Central California.

Why does this have to happen to good California? Why couldn't it be San Francisco?

A lot of stuff would go up. I've been told the Feather River supplies 75% of the water to SoCal. A Golden Stater can correct me if I'm wrong. If that dam fails it will be ugly.

I understand this is the first time the water gotten deep enough to use the emergency spillway. Sounds like the water is still topping over the dam right now.

Rachel Maddow did a piece about the spillway on her Friday night.

I heard someone say that 80% of the almonds and 70% of the rice grown in that state will get wiped out. But I don't think that many trees would die.
