Well, if the Right is fine making bedfellows with members of the alt-right, then really are they any better? It seems like your trying to uphold this false dichotomy that one side is morally superior to the other when in fact, they are not. Lately, the Right has shown their willingness to not even tolerate but allows alt-right racism and bigotry into their party, for political gain.

Is the alt-right trying to murder people on the streets for wearing the wrong hat or expressing the wrong opinion? No?

False moral equivalence fallacy.

StA, you have deliberately staked your position where you are going to be challenged...

I will agree that the left is ripe for ridicule...
The mainstream left is unaware of many of the flaws in their ideology.
They dismiss the right without consideration for the strength of their critique.

The alt right has won ground fair and square for this reason... and I applaud them for that.

That being said a blanket dismissal of the entire left is of course overreach... but I imagine that you know that and are simply baiting...
Then again I might be wrong about that...

Since when is the Left trying to murder people?

Since when did you willfully ignore all this violence taking place over the past year?

But I'll concede this. One shift we've is that a more dogmatic left is gaining traction, or at least public exposure.

Perhaps as a reaction to that, we've seen the rise of more skepticism or cynicism on the right, specifically the alt right.

That's why the alt right are funny, something the regular right has generally failed at in the past. Perhaps the main way to be funny is to poke holes in silly narratives. So you can't be (intentionally) funny when claiming there are backwards messages on records and that Harry Potter will turn kids into witches. Same if you argue that middle class, white, American women are horribly oppressed. But you can be funny by making fun of those things.

But, I think the dogmatists who think Noah's Ark should be in science books are still there on the right, and a lot of cynics/skeptics are still there on the left.
They've been red lining this engine for almost two years solid. There has been mass political violence from the left, against the right, nearly every month for two years. You don't get to say they don't speak for you. They do. If they didn't speak for the majority, the majority would have taken a stand against them and shut them down two years ago. It didn't happen, because the majority of the left condone political violence. The media defends them. Politicians defend them. Universities defend them.

There has been zero outrage from the left over any of it. You need to lay off the doobies, get away from Vegas, and breathe some clean air until your head clears up. They defended the kidnapping and torture of a mentally disabled kid, who was targeted for being white. The left excused it. Flat out excused it as acceptable, and actually Trump's fault entirely. About four weeks after that, they put a convicted murderer on their stage as an icon of the left. She kidnapped, tortured, raped, and murdered a sixty year old man for fun, and they put her on their stage to admire her.

Anyone who tries to say this isn't entirely demonstrative of those on the left are flat out full of shit.

I agree that there are both crazies/extremes on both sides of the usual political spectrum. The Right has the alt-right while the Left has the SJWs. Although, it is both sides that are grooming both extremes and trying to make them the mainstream ideology as of lately. Although, the Right has been grooming the hatred/knee-jerking of anything that the Left/Dems have done or want to do for decades longer.
Point to an alt-right riot. I'll wait.

It's just a few bad apples at mostly peaceful protests!

You just don't get it do you Penner? All of the left is bad and the right can do no wrong. It's very simple really and that's what helps the Trumpites understand it....
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.
