Let's take your logic to its conclusions, the US raises tariffs on electronics from Malaysia, so what?

Dell and Intel stops making microprocessors in Malaysia and lets that business go to some other company so that company can sell computers to Singapore, China and Japan, and then Dell's stock goes down when their earninings go down, so Dell lays people off in the US to compensate?

Why would they do that? Even if they did, How would that help America?

China doesn't allow foreign ownership of their companies, nor foreign ownership of their natural resources, they discourage purchase of foreign-made products, discourage off-shoring, and don't have "Free" Trade. That got them double-digit growth.

The rest of The World can buy stuff made in Malaysia, knock yourselves out. That's the point isn't it, a race to the bottom where everyone in Canada lives on the dole using SE Asia made products.
