That's a load of bullshit. He was the first reality tv show President. The selfie stick, between two ferns, interviewed by youtubers best known for bathing in cereal. There are a bunch of examples. He was reality tv trying not to be reality tv. Figures GCF likes a hoax and can't tell the difference when it's polished above the standards of PBS.GrumpyCatFace wrote:No matter how much you may hate him, he was the final “statesman” president, before we descended into reality tv.

Who can forget such statesmen-like actions:GrumpyCatFace wrote:No matter how much you may hate him, he was the final “statesman” president, before we descended into reality tv.
- Holding a beer summit after calling out the Police for "acting stupidly" when answering the call of a break-in and being met with a hostile man inside the house.
- Claiming that "If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor" right before many then lost access to their doctors through their insurance when the ACA kicked in.
- Sending pallets of cash to Iran in exchange for hostages
- Threatening a "red line" that was subsequently crossed, and then he did......nothing.
I know there are more, but these are first that came to mind.
My take is that the documented history of him will be more favorable than the word of mouth that gets passed on from one generation to the next. The media will make sure that the more "official" historical records view him as Mount Rushmore worthy, while the "word on the street" will be less complimentary.

If a leader is a GREAT Statesman he should be really, really easy to defend in that regard. So far it's crickets.

For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

he only avoided scandal because the corporate media gave him a pass
i'm not sure what everyone's definition of "statesman" is, my point was that he carried himself well and typically stayed above the fray. he was great at being the president, but that doesn't necessarily make him a good president

Fuck the idea of a "Statesman" president. Fuck that shit all the way back to Europe where it came from.
Chamberlain was a statesman.
If you want a statesman, then move to England, disarm yourself, and prepare your daughters for Muslim sex slavery.
