here's a hint, running away in the face of nuclear blackmail is a very bad strategy

Either:

- NATO is a defensive alliance, and is to be invoked only on defense of allied countries

OR:

- NATO exists to bottle up and oppose Russia and will be invoked at random.
If that’s the case, then Putin is right, and we’re in the wrong.
