It's truly amazing that first of all he said, but then his supporters don't distance themselves from it, instead they double down. If we didn't have an armed society they'd already be executing political prisoners.

My youngest son & his family are visiting from Peru. I get to talk politics with him that I don't get anywhere else because my views are accepted by no one. I think I have clearly identified where America is and where it's going, and I don't fit anywhere. There are some MAGA-people out there but every time I have any contact with them, it's clear they have no true understanding of their ideology, and no legitimate leadership. I can no longer get worked up about anything because there is nothing and nobody to save.

A 43+ year friend & wife was over yesterday. I spent their entire visit (they showed up unannounced) trying not to demand he get the fuck out of my house: he's a Fascist; his wife was telling us about ghosts in their daughter's home; they both bagged on my pro-Trump Russian neighbors, blatantly calling them drug-dealers. The guy takes psyche meds but called me a "crank" for not believing the "news." America is fucking over.

On a positive note: between interruptions, I put a modern/retro alternator in my 1963 supercharged Avanti, one of less than 1000 in existence. Had to rewire it, make new brackets, figure everything out. It started and ran first time. There's not another mutterfukker within a 10-mile radius of me that could have done that.
