That is just a country deciding to use the crew as hostages to extort a company for money. This is a practice that probably goes back to the beginnings of civilization.
Globalism would be creating an international law they states it is illegal for a country to take a crew hostage. Which I think would be a very good thing to do.

Millennials have no culture of their own
always looking back with nostalgia, no future
cultural appropriation from Generation X remix for eternity
You can't tell me that's not a cultural moment for the ages.
An epic social media driven pool noodle fight... for King Arthur's sword?
Er... King Arthur's pool noodle....
This is history.
They have no culture... they are creating it collectively en mass... from their parents basements....
Whether they are capable of procreating... that is the question.
Or will they die, infertile, and impotent....
The jury is out.

I'm not complaining that Millennials just remix my culture instead of having their own culture
obviously I like Gen X culture
and Millennials are good at remixing, that's their specialty

That's the problem though, it seems that most millennials can't create, those that do shouldn't and those that try have to use what others created to even get noticed...Smitty-48 wrote: Sun Apr 25, 2021 5:54 am I'm not complaining that Millennials just remix my culture instead of having their own culture

We are literally in a negative golden age... things are being created, but the better question is should they be?

they are on their phones all the time, paralysis by analysis, including paralysis of creativity & self actualization
they can't look to the future, they can only look at what has happened, then assess
but they never stop assessing, it becomes obsession, then they don't move forward
they are prisoners of the future, the future is this ever present doom that never comes, but that paralyzes them
it's like they are in free fall, but falling backwards, they can't flip over into falling forwards into the future
thus they can't envision where they might go, they can't steer, they can't come up with any new ideas
they blame the "Boomers" for not letting them have nice things
but if the Boomers didn't tell the Millennials what to do, the Millennials wouldn't know what to do with themselves
all Millennial issues & ideologies are just Boomer issues & ideologies
who told the Millennials about ZOMG Climate Doom ? the Boomers told them
who told the Millenials about ZOMG White Supremacy ? the Boomers told them that too
who invented Woke ? that was the Boomers
in terms of rebelling against the Boomers ?
the Millennials don't even have their own rebellion, they just appropriate Gen X's rebellion against the Boomers
It's like hey, I like NWA, but the Millennials didn't invent that, it's not their own thing
if Gen X did what the Millennials do, there wouldn't be any NWA, we'd all just be listening to the Beatles forever
Gen X did not stay locked in the 1960s forever, but the Millennials never move past the 1990's
