doesn't it feel like America is being bum rushed by a leaderless horde of lunatics bent on reordering everything for its own sake?

this is what the Crown Heads of Europe faced at the turn of the 20th century

the mechanism then was industrial factories, now it is the post industrial internet

the American Establishment is responding exactly how the Crown Heads of Europe did

essentially appeasement, give in to some of the demands of the masses, hope that it placates them

antiracism, okay, antisexism, fine, transgenderism, not a deal breaker, just don't talk about class warfare

at the Geostrategic level, the Industrial Revolution incited a new scarcity

the European Empires has been agrarian, and within this epoch had reached a state of equilibrium and so peace

Industrialization split the center into haves and have nots

the British went industrial and supplanted France as the Global Hegemon

then a new state was born out of the Holy Roman Empire in 1854

which went on to defeat France and become a German Empire in 1870

this Empire then went industrial as well, imposing Thucydides Trap on the British

and this is how the Proletariat incited the war

why did they want to defeat the other Empires ?

they needed the jobs, the First World War was a war for jobs

furthermore Hedges does actually believe that the institutions will be saved

he predicts a Weimar like collapse followed by the ascendance of Christian Fascism in the wake
oh it's gonna happen, whether the Christian Fascists will then prevail against Communist China is another question
I think people vastly overestimate the power and underestimate the compassion, of Christians.
Nazis' weren't a Christian movement.
People been holding on to the Crusades for waaaay too damn long.

Christian Fascism is simply binding together to defend that compassion against what is viewed as a godless pagan existential threat to Christ himself

People fearing Christian fascism might want to look at the actual number of Christians, and their replacement rate in the 21st century, before getting too carried away with their great-grandma's fears.

bear in mind how the liberal media conflates "Fascism" with "Evil"

but really Fascism just means Binding Together Tightly

certainly the American Mania for Positive Thinking rejects all negative outcomes and so does not prepare for them

example, we were all going to get rich off the stock market back in the late nineties, and so were rather unprepared for 2008

The only people I know hand-wringing about Christian anything are rabid SJWs who are perpetually offended by traditional morality and anything being declared evil.

Where is this Christian Army coming from, Smitty? Catholics? Pentecostals? Baptists? Methodist?
Where?
Who is leading it?
Why have they agreed to form an army with their increasingly diminishing numbers and engage in civil war?
Who is supplying it?

This is leftist fantasy, dude.
