No, because it is completely false. Influenza is seasonal. Covid may or may not be. It's a completely different virus. It kind of seems, though, that fucking no way is it going to wane in the coming months. This virus has been spreading exponentially in equatorial nations, no problem. Even in the past few months, the speed at which our epidemic grows here in the US is exponential, despite the warming temperatures. The average daily temps has been climbing steadily for weeks and weeks, and the disease has correspondingly grown exponential.Zlaxer wrote: ↑Sat May 09, 2020 7:28 pmBc that would blow the narrative.Martin Hash wrote: ↑Sat May 09, 2020 7:09 pmHow come nobody mentions in these graphs that countries in the Southern Hemispheres were in summer. Northern hemisphere should only be compared to Northern; for example, Spain vs. Sweden. Spain was in heavy Lockdown, Sweden was voluntary compliance, but no difference in their graphs at the end.
And now we’re going into summer so this thing is over.

Meanwhile, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo says the state is working with the CDC to respond to an illness affecting dozens of the youngest New Yorkers -- that may be linked to COVID-19.
“These children happen to have the COVID antibodies or be positive for COVID, but those were not the symptoms they showed when they came in to the hospital system,” said Cuomo.
The governor’s office said Saturday a 5-year old, a 7-year-old and a teenager have died.
Similar cases of the syndrome in children have been reported in Seattle, northern California, United Kingdom, Italy and Spain.
“It’s more an inflammation of the blood vessels, which can then cause problems with their heart,” Cuomo added.
Experts say it is too soon to tell what it really means.
“What we really think is that there’s a large number of children infected and that this is a rare complication. But it is a complication that, of course, if I was a parent, I’d be concerned about,” said Dr. Glenn Budnick.

The article also mentions that it’s extremely rare for kids to get this and is probably related to an underlying genetic predisposition.
I fell bad for the few kids that get this - is tearing down society worth it? We don’t do this for child cancer patients who can die from normal cold.
65 kids total at time of article.

Why is the solution to Covid quarantining everyone instead of just the few who are susceptible?

This thinking is a result of the egalitarian takeover: if everybody can't go outside then nobody can.

Have you ever noticed how the solution to every problem for certain folks is just blunt force gov't trauma? That's just their pathology man. Its like, our society is a fucking Mazeratti, but because they don't like the cupholders in it, they want to take the car to the scrap yard. We have so much free time, disposable wealth, and quality of life compared to any previous society (even to Americans living not long ago), that folks have to manufacture scenarios out of whole cloth. They want a battle, but not a real one where they have anything at stake or where they could actually get hurt, so they pick gnat shit out of pepper and denigrate that which has given them what they claim to hate. Our liberties and prosperity are now supposedly the problem, even though they solved every single other problem to the point where this stupid ass virus is what we are worried about.
If you are literally filming ice cream trucks and crying that the driver isn't wearing a mask, then you cannot be reasoned with. What else is there really to say at this point? Tom Cruise knows about those Thetan levels. You ain't gonna talk him out of it. Tex Watson knew that Helter Skelter was right around the corner.

Because ALL of us are susceptible. The fuck universe are you living in?
Three children just died in NYC this weekend. This meme that it's just killing boomers and diabetics was always false.
If we had a competent administration we'd have community testing right now and a containment strategy in place. Reopening the economy would have been feasible.

A day late and a dollar short, the mainstream is beginning to accept that it isn't just lunatics or racists that want to get back to work.

If you want to safely reopen the economy, you need community testing to the level that will contain enough new cases that the reproduction rate falls below 1.0.
That's it. The only reason we don't have that is the Trump administration. Plain and simple. Nobody else is responsible for the lack of tests. Nobody else is confiscating tests governors try to purchase from overseas because the federal government failed.

It’s pretty clear that we don’t have any sort of reliable test, nor is one coming any time soon.Speaker to Animals wrote: ↑Sun May 10, 2020 10:43 amIf you want to safely reopen the economy, you need community testing to the level that will contain enough new cases that the reproduction rate falls below 1.0.

Might as well just accept it then, I guess. No option but to reopen.
