Yes a fucking tangent. This Democrat from his district wants this farm bill, it gets held up cause of Yemen, ask the people of that district. Wanna bet how they feel about it? This is politics.
You’re right. But if this is the way our foreign policy is going to be determined... hail Caesar.
Well foreign policy is an executive function. Congress like a board of directors just approves or disapproves. And no one but needs care one bit about Yemen. It's a proxy fight with Iran and Russia and all it cost us is some money and equipment to the Saudis. Personally, if those two want to throw down, let them. I dont want to get into the middle of that. Just dont underestimate the TDS here. If we were to stop supporting the Saudis, the same people that are criticizing him for it would just turn around, as they are now with the Syrian, Afghanistan withdrawals and say it some sort of Russian plot. You cant win with these people.
Why do you care so much about what cable news says?
The power to bomb any part of the world rests with a single, deranged, New York real estate mafioso. That should bother you.

Because that's the narrative that gets built and distributed. And it's nowhere near the truth.
The power to bomb any part of the world rests with a single, deranged, New York real estate mafioso. That should bother you.
Case in point.

Sorry, I forgot that your news calls him a stable genius and “business tycoon”.

Its kind of funny, Trump's 2 years have been more pacifistic than just about any other president's of the last decade and a half. Obama drone stricked half of central Asia and Arabian Penninsula and completely destabilized Libya (right after we made the same mistake in Iraq) and he is praised for his levelheadedness and great leadership. Trump says boorish things (that are actually funny) and suddenly it is the end of the world.

Yeah he is the worst. He bombed Libya without Congressional authorization, he attacked American citizens with drone strikes. He has bombed all sort of places in the ME. No, wait that was the Nobel peace prize winning community organizer who you dubbed "the last great statesman." You swallow these narratives whole and expect us to believe you not a hack bitch. You the king of undercover hack bitches. Merry Christmas I just gave you the greatest gift of all, truth. (spoiled bastard)

If they all banded together against the executive, they 100% could take it back. If they really really felt a war was unjustified, they could cut off funding. They don't have the spine to do that, but it could be done. The executive is not Caesar. They do not want the power back man, because it would lead to them having to take responsibility.
Of course they don't want it back, with no term limits on congress they can have nice cushy 30+ year careers - but they might risk not getting re-elected if they voted for a war and a bunch of young people they "represent" got killed in that war. Better to pass the buck to the executive, the president only gets 8 years max.
Oh yeah, and the president gets life-long secret service protection after they leave office, against pissed off populace who might hate their decisions. Congress doesn't.

Not saying I suppprt Obama’s decisions. But he was a great statesman. Even more so in comparison to the dipshit currently occupying the office.

Neville Chamberlain.

If you destabilize a country for no apparent reason, how does that make you a good statesman? I would view results as being a far more important determining factor than appearances. Also, Obama cucked hard on China the same way Chamberlain cucked on Germany.
The verdict: Obama was not a great Statesman, but he was a good reality tv star and ex Goldman Sachs affirmative action hirer.
