The refugee crisis is not caused by over population.
The refugee crisis is caused by people in 3rd world countries looking at 1st world countries and saying, 'Those people are soft pussies, we can just force them to take us in, then we will get all the benefits and can leave this shit hole behind'. Many Western metropolis' are over populated, but those people aren't rushing the border of the Sudan to take advantage of Tribal War and Ebola.

And this whole thing won't be solved with "better efficiency". We're already pretty close to maximum theoretical efficiency in most power production systems. Maybe solar power has a bit to go still, but wind, water, gas, coal, tidal and geothermic energy production can't really be much more efficient than it already is.

Wind is somewhere around 40% now, while the maximum theoretical is 59,3%, with absolutely no mechanical loss.

Global warming is impossible to stop at this point. And the energy crisis will come too, just a matter of time, and if we're stupid enough to abandon nuclear power in the name of environmentalism.
I would imagine there is still lots more effecency to be gained when you are talking the total system, such as long term maintenance and such.
That's economical efficiency. Not conservation of energy efficiency.
Is that not "better efficiency?"
;)

It's also not the issue at hand here.

That was not much of a migrant crisis really. It's going to get worse. All we've had yet was a small trickle from a little disagreement in the levant and among the moors. Russia took in just as many refugees from Ukraine during the same period, as all of Europe.

No, wait for the collapse of agriculture in various african countries, or peak oil in Nigeria. Then we'll see a lot of people. It's actually pretty damn good in Europe now. But it's going to get real bad one day. Worse than we can imagine.

That's a tough break, Otern. Ah well, someone is going to have to absorb all the rampaging third-worlders that we tear-gas away from our borders. Europe has been pretty decent about oppressing their native citizens to accommodate people fleeing shithole countries. I suspect Europe can ratchet up a little more pressure on the natives for the benefit of new arrivals and figure something out.

The one thing I agree with the Eurohomos on is that you guys could use a common military force. But where the Eurohomos are fucking stupid is that there is not even a point for a common military if they don't even protect their own indigenous people, culture, or even the security of their borders.

You are going to need a pretty big military, with requisite logistics, to relocate the many tens of millions of foreigners these Eurohomos dumped on your continent when the time comes to deal with the damage they inflicted. You will need a fairly good navy to keep ships away and to sink those NGO ships for practice.

Right now, NGOs are actually fucking your people with just a few repurposed industrial ships. That's scary.

A common military to fight who?
Don't really need a Grand European Army to protect a bunch of borders, most of them already protected by water. Border control could be solved with the different national armed forces around Europe already.

An EU army is the worst idea the guys in Brussels could come up with, as it's a challenge to NATO. Abandon NATO, and Europe lost Turkey. Meanwhile, Russia is going to see the EU army as a threat, because it is. Russia teams up with Turkey, and now we have a new situation, where we've both told the US, and Turkey to fuck off, while trying to keep an army alive based on some pan-European ideology pretty much only the people in Brussels believe in.

The only people a European army would be fighting, would be other europeans. It would be a shit show. The Russians and the Turks would gladly support various European separatist.

Dude, NATO is a paper tiger. Consider the continentals are on their own..

We'd defend UK mercilessly. Maybe even France because they still backed us up when we were attacked.

Why would we give a fuck about Germany, though, much less Scandinavia?

I've been saying this for years, and I will continue to say it: If you believe climate change is a real threat, and value your country, the border must be closed. If you value low income workers in your country, the borders must be closed. Every nightmare scenario for climate change shows that the southern hemisphere will get far worse than the northern one. That means that everything beneath the Mediterranean Sea will flood North into Europe, and everything south of the Rio Grande River will flood into America. We need to set the rules now, and draw a line in the sand, before shit really hits the fan. I'm very skeptical of all these climate change activists, but if this is a way for us to agree on immigration, let's prepare for the worst. Europe and America will no longer be good places to live if the entire uneducated unwashed rapist third world rampages across their borders. We don't have enough money to give all these folks welfare. It will lead to an economic collapse. Militarize the borders. Put signs up and warnings about what will happen if you attempt to violate our sovereignty. Fire a warning shot. If that is ignored, then any and all illegals and refugees who still attempt to raid the border need to be killed. This is a no-brainer. I give a shit about the West, and it makes me sick to my stomach seeing our country cave like this. 50,000 thousand apiece? Fuck you.
