The rehearsals of a non collectivist priming the collective ideals, blood and even soil for self destruction. For indeed if you didnt build that then some other person did. But you are not some collective society. Non non non. You are a Rugged Individualist and you did NOT build that. No one ever will unless you embrace Rugged Individualisism and open your Nation to other Individualists that will! You didn't build that!

Cmon Hash, you're not an ignorant idiot. That "Freedom" was carefully doled out to a select few. It only looked like freedom if you were on the right end of the stick.Martin Hash wrote: ↑Thu Nov 15, 2018 7:40 pmLiberty is a fragile thing, difficult to obtain and easy to lose. I’ve debated for it here a lot but only C-Mag and Hastur find it worth defending. The theists don’t like it, in fact they deny it exists, because they think everyone should be forced to share their morals; and the collectivists don’t like it because they are the losers in the meritocracy. America was lucky to get liberty in the first place but it was only maintained through indoctrination in the schools which obviously don’t any longer. It will be sad to see it go. Luckily, I was around to experience it.

Uhhh, I was. You must have missed all my explanation of how Liberty only directly benefits a segment of the population. It still worked as long as that number was great enough, perhaps 25%, because people still buy lottery tickets as long as they know some winners. But liberty requires opportunity, and without redistribution of wealth, the Nouveau Aristocracy has hoarded opportunity and by so doing, hoarded liberty. The 1% will not be affected by the change to socialism, but the 24% lose out, and so does landing on the moon.

The collectivistmensch clamor for the Individualistmensch's prosperity. Did they earn it? No! Deny the collectivistmensch his perogative and further strengthen you resolve.

Now you're sounding like the smart guy again. I do wonder if there can be opportunity without redistribution, can the snowball effect of capital that Picketty described be fought without confiscation? What about something that turbocharges opportunity and penalizes hyperscale capital, like interest rates that are progressive, almost free for small startup loans but high for megasized loans? Or indexed to the borrower's capitalization so an Apple or Trump pay very high rates?Martin Hash wrote: ↑Thu Nov 15, 2018 8:37 pmliberty requires opportunity, and without redistribution of wealth, the Nouveau Aristocracy has hoarded opportunity and by so doing, hoarded liberty.

We have the pre-Reagan model of progressive income taxes and steep inheritance tax. That’s the MAGA I’m taliking about. Land on the moon MAGA.

I’ve also written a lot about taxation. As long as an ultra-wealthy keeps investing in job-creating enterprises, and I don’t mean derivatives like stocks, his gains are protected. Don’t tax business at all but also don’t let them have money (99% of businesses are like that now). At death the super-wealthy can make their direct heirs wealthy but the rest they have to give away.

I'm with you, but can you explain what I bolded above? Do you mean don't let the owner extract money or don't let the business hoard cash like Apple? Problem with anything like what you propose is it never holds, just like Reagan's "tax reform", the gutting of it for special interests starts immediately. Same thing for 'flat taxers', it would immediately be gamed. As long as our govt is for sale to highest bidder, the high bidders make the rules.Martin Hash wrote: ↑Thu Nov 15, 2018 9:08 pmI’ve also written a lot about taxation. Flat tax is the concept that The Rich pay too much taxes and The Poor don’t pay enough.
99% of businesses now pass all their profits to their owners every year to be taxed at the owner’s rates. The only reason Business wants to hold money is to subsidize the rich, cheat taxes, and screw minority shareholders.

Wow. How much more of a fascistic nazi could you be? Bigit much? I'm not sure but I think, according to the new issue of Time Mag, people that question the dependence of corporations to the society and government and their tax status thereof are technically racist.Martin Hash wrote: ↑Thu Nov 15, 2018 9:08 pmI’ve also written a lot about taxation.
