Give in. Go buy a badass strap because you can.
I'm not saying I'm rolling with one gun, but two long guns, to shotguns and two handguns is plenty.

I thinking about the 629-4 .44 But I don't need three of them.

And I am prepared to, I will be a force multiplier through my capacity to instruct and lead from the front.
Roger, roger, that's our job. Assemble, train, lead.
The Oath is forever.
Even if one is want to stockpile, multiple weapon types and calibers is not the way to go.

Keep it simple. Lots of ARs and Five-Five-Six, there's no sense in stockpiling collectors items.
I stick pretty much with NATO rounds and popular rounds, or once popular. The base of my Soldier kits are 5.56. Designated Marksman there is a variety of options.

I've got Old Reliable, a 30-30 made in 1917. Shoots true and fast, killed my first deer with it. If I had to fire a half dozen rounds within a hundred yards, it might be my first choice. So I have rounds for that.

I'm 10k on .22 rounds, training and small game. I have rounds for 762 x 51, but I have no 308. That's resupply for buddies. I have a bunch of 30-06, because I shot the old Winchester model 54 for decades, plus matches the M1 Garand, 300 win mag for long range punch, M1 Carbine(love that little bastard)……. you get the drift.

Sniper rifle, battle rifle, carbine, combat shotgun, entry shotgun, primary sidearm, drop gun.

And one Dirty Harry special for fun.

It really is. Americans into guns are excessive. It's not explainable, it's not very logical, it's just the way it is.

My uncle by marriage's father was on a B-24 in WWII. Dakota farmer. Collected Winchester lever actions, had between 450 and 500 when he died in his 90's. Oldest was 1860s

Just fucking because he felt like it.

To each his own, my concept of American is rugged individualism and autonomy from a collective.

Of course. And I still know you're not a Puritan.

Of course. But, I know you're not a Puritan anyway.
Certainly not, I don't even embrace the Protestant work ethic; work is bullshit, jobs are jails, defend your laziness.

But again, that sort of lifestyle actually mandates prudent asset allocation and being efficient.

I've got more 556 and 9mm stored than any other round, but gotdamn if I still don't love shooting my revolvers.

Moreover, it's not all about the gats, in classic American fashion, I own multiple cars as well.

Gotta have a war truck to haul that kit around, I ain't driving no Civic, high rolling in the Chevy Z71 up in here.
