.357 Wheel gun is like an AK, easy to clean and maintain, won't fail when fouled, there's like no maintenance required and it's practically jam proof, and when I go to the sidearm, it's for a reason, it's not to replace the automatic carbine/battle rifle, it's complementary for a specific role, and at that juncture, it's gonna be a no fail mission, and the rest of the time, I got things to do, I don't wanna be fiddling around with temperamental 1911 care and feeding, fuck all that noise.

Also, S&W Mod 66 is stainless steel, so you can swim with it, and it beats a 1911 cold, if you gotta pistol whip a man to death CQC.

Stovepiping. Most temperamental gun I ever owned was a Springfield 1911 GI edition Brazil manufacturing. Wasn't me either it stovepiped on everyone.

where do you really find a 1911 to be "tempermental?"

It's an automatic, you gotta keep that shit squeaky clean, you're not going to be sitting in a duck blind, Fife, you're gonna be crawling all through hells muddy half acre. Automatic is high maintenance, bearing parts, I want that time to be spent on my primary, not my sidearm.
