Ever come across a plumbers nightmare Carlus?
My father trained with one in '58. Along with Bren guns and Lee Enfeilds.

I guess Dad would have used the later mk V version. He said they were originally made with gas pipes. Churned out for $10 a piece after Dunkirk when rearming the army after Dunkirk. We had used the Thompson but you couldn't make them fast enough for us.
That gun sucks bad in COD World at War. I usually throw it away as soon as I find a gewher 43.
Yeah the mk II was very poor quality but they made 2 million of them and air-dropped them all over Europe to the resistance.
Cheapest varients only had 47 parts and they used German ammo.
Not your first choice of weapon but a lot better than a rifle for close quarters.
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

This is my baby. Kpist m/45 Carl Gustav. It’s what I was issued during my service. Excellent gun. US special forces liked it as well during the Vietnam war.

Those are Steam Punk looking cool guns. Corrective my memory if I'm wrong, but those were designed after the Sten and fix some of the issues of the sten with the offset magazine.

In the Modern US Army if you say Carl Gustav, everyone looks for this

It's the name of the factory.

I just saying that no one in the US Army understands the history of the manufacturer, like the recoiless rifle was the only thing they produced.

I think the biggest inspiration was the Lahti but with cheaper manufacturering methods. They probably looked at all the ww2 submachine guns for ideas to rip off. The Swedish way.

It's a great piece of equipment. I had to carry around one for a week. 1st gen. Heavy stuff but fun to shoot.

Never got the chance. My Dad used the big 90 mm Recoiless Rifles in Korea, I think a 105 mm too.

I did shoot LAW rockets, Never shot a Javelin either :(

The size of those things for a man held weapon is ridiculous.

So, when you were in the Swedish Army, what was the base idea of the defense of the country and what did you guys consider your biggest threats ?

Now I remember. You call our submachine gun the Swedish K. You made a cheap knock of as well when our socialist government sided with the Viet Cong against you and refused to sell any more of them.

Look at the beauty of the simplicity of this thing.

I wonder if I could make a version of that in my shop. Look at that simple 2 piece trigger: GO/STOP
That fires from the open bolt position doesn't it ?
