If you're serious, then you need to review the electrical formula for work.

VA = W

12v at 5a will support 60 watts of power. If you use more than that on the switch, the fuse will pop.
I was just wondering why the light switches are rated. Is there a fuse built in?
Not that I know of. That's probably the max before the guts start melting, and you get a short. That's 15-20a on a standard 120v circuit. A lot of fuckin juice.
These switches can be used on 240v applications, and can withstand a surge of 1500v

Here's your spec sheet

Why does figure one say AC only? A switch is a switch no?

On 12 volts, you'll be lucky if it lights :lol:

You're fine.

It's LED. It's only drawing 8 watts iirc. Mother fucker is cool to the touch.... I bet I can grow weed with it...

Because they are designed for AC applications only. BLUF- in most applications you can us an AC switch for DC current providing it doesn't overload the rating. But they may fail sooner. It's in to a bunch of technical Electrical Engineering Nerd shit about current breaking speed and arcs, whatevs. Jerry rig the thing and stand back while you try it.

I do have a home wheat mill. We use it once or twice a year.
Ok, that's fucking sweet.
Getting pretty wound up for wheat farming now. Apparently, I can get an entire bushel (60 lbs) out of 1,000 sq. feet - about a quarter of the garden. Also, I can do winter wheat over the whole thing, in the fall. That should supply our bread/pancake/baking needs for a year and then some.

I didn't get it tilled in the fall, so I'm going to go ahead and get it done next week - hopefully giving the ground enough time to rest before planting.

I also have a neighbor who is a PhD Botanist, that informed me that I can use marigolds planted around, for pest control. I want to get the hang of doing things completely organically (it's a big process), and I'm hoping that this will help. We had a lot of issues with grubs and bugs getting into our shit last year.
