Wish my state would let me sharpen the top edge of my ZT.

Yeah by very virtue of the carbon grade some makers select for its ability to hold an edge.Smitty-48 wrote:I don't think price is the deciding factor when it comes to knives snapping on you anyways, I've seen some plenty expensive knives snap like twigs in the field, but tell you right now, this knife is stout, I seriously doubt I could break it if I tried.

what do y'all think about the p250?
I did real well with it today, and the wife liked it too.

Pretty sure I could gut a man like a fish with it, it's plenty sharp enough, for tactical applications, don't need a razors edge to cut through human flesh, most likley thing to stop you is bone, and you ain't gonna cut through bone no matter how much you sharpen it.TheReal_ND wrote:Yeah by very virtue of the carbon grade some makers select for its ability to hold an edge.Smitty-48 wrote:I don't think price is the deciding factor when it comes to knives snapping on you anyways, I've seen some plenty expensive knives snap like twigs in the field, but tell you right now, this knife is stout, I seriously doubt I could break it if I tried.

Nice gat, pretty much like a P229, but at a fraction of the price.Okeefenokee wrote:what do y'all think about the p250?

It's like the Toyota Corrolla of Sigs, if Uncle Sam is paying, P229 is fine, but if you're paying, P250 does the same job at 50% off.

Maybe it was the heavier trigger pull (much heavier), but I was hitting way more with the Sig than I was with the 1911.

What does a P250 go for? Something like $399? That's the Sig Sauer "best value buy".

Yeah, that's what I was seeing. We've been musing about arming up lately. All I've got is a little 22 pump plinker. After today, I'm gonna have to hide the credit cards, or she's gonna be going wild.

My wife wasn't really enthused about going out in today's bad weather, but after putting a couple mags through a 1911, she's talking about going out and buying one tomorrow.
Now I'm gonna go trigger Monty.
Yup, save the shells, make them yourself. Save yourself money in the long run.
