Re: Star Trek Discovery
They might as well call every iteration of Star Trek, "SJW's In Space: Whatever Series", but that doesn't mean that there isn't some good television in there, and at times, I feel they are in on the joke, I mean they know the show is a little hokey, how could they not, isn't that the point?

Re: Star Trek Discovery
One of the problems with these subtitled Klingon scenes is they are too infodumpy, the actors are wearing too much makeup, and they all speak the same way. Makes it harder for the actors to convey emotion and it makes the scenes drag for too long at times, they should work on that. Also no more references to people who are still alive, as if they have some great legacy in the future that most folks in the 2200's will remember, that Elon Musk reference was just weird and seems partially politically motivated.

Re: Star Trek Discovery
It appears that this visual abortion was actually ripped off from an indie game developer. Go figure.

Imagine the situation. You’ve been working on your unreleased indie sci-fi adventure game for over three years, only to see a major new TV show launch using the same specific idea as its core space travel concept. That’s the peculiar situation in which independent developer Anas Abdin found himself in when he watched the first few episodes of CBS’s Star Trek: Discovery. He’s been making a game called Tardigrades, and now Discovery has come along, he’s really not sure what to do.

DS9 is also my favorite.StCapps wrote:The actor is straight up loon, but Benjamin Sisko is a great captain.C-Mag wrote:Sisko may be my favorite Captain.
Have you guys seen Captains? ALL of these people are bananas, though Sisko is the craziest.

I can't even imagine how pissed off I'd be if I were that guy. Holy shit, that sucks.

Yeah I was able to see it when it came out on DVD. I also found Avery Brooks to be bananas.LVH2 wrote:DS9 is also my favorite.StCapps wrote:The actor is straight up loon, but Benjamin Sisko is a great captain.C-Mag wrote:Sisko may be my favorite Captain.

Was he able to publish his works before STD came out (and yeah, when you think about the abbreviations used for all of the Star Trek shows, STD is what Discover should be called. I think that some are adding a few more letters so they can avoid the usual jokes)?GrumpyCatFace wrote:Weirdly, he’s more worried about CBS suing him.Speaker to Animals wrote:GrumpyCatFace wrote:It appears that this visual abortion was actually ripped off from an indie game developer. Pretty sure it's the other way around. He can sue them. But I doubt he could get passed all their lawyers.

Probably not. That’s what you get for showing off IP before it’s done, I guess.Speaker to Animals wrote:GrumpyCatFace wrote:Weirdly, he’s more worried about CBS suing him.Speaker to Animals wrote:
