Finally got my first gun.

A Carl Gustav. Basically a Swedish Mauser in 6,5x55. Made in 1909, matching numbers, great condition, no modifications. And way cheaper than it should be.

Hopefully it will be in great condition for the next 108 years too.

They are good guns. Always wanted one. I'm thinking of picking up a used .22 rifle as cheap as possible so maybe a savage bolt action. I want to go camping and hunt squirrels at the state park this fall/winter. Due to my situation I'd have to keep it at the storage lot with my other truck because this van is a flashing neon sign that says free crack money inside

But it's pretty sweet. only 2000 NOK, works perfectly except the rear iron sights are stuck, so so far, only the 300 and 700 meter settings works. But according to the stock disc, it zeroes at 100 when set on 300 anyway, and that's all I would ever need for hunting purposes anyway.

Now I only need to find some good gun grease, which is extremely hard to find in this country. I get the impression people don't actually clean their guns themselves here, but hand them in to gun smiths about as often as we do well in football.
