Definitely a smart move to split your money into more than one institution. Credit unions have the benefit of actually helping your community, as well. Easier loans for local business, etc.

I think “investment” (Capitalism style) is the source of all evil; making money gambling is perhaps the biggest vice. Not to mention the insiders, conmen, outright theft, etc. One person should not be able to earn more than 20-times the average: it’s just not physically possible in a merit-based society, and only happens now through force or imaginary money.

People go into politics like as a freshman congress critter as a regular joe with some money. Come out 20-40 years later multi-millionaires. I've had this saying that "if you've been in Congress since before the internet was around", it's high time to go. Ponzi schemes, insider trading, back room shady deals, etc.

Yeah it is like gambling in many ways. But I'm just a working stiff that lives within my means.
