Are physical metals the best inheritance to leave your children ?

A recent story related to me by a friend of a friend.

Mother dies, the two sons go through the house, open the safe and there is Gold and Silver totaling a value of about $25,000 in todays market. These metals were likely purchased decades ago. The two brothers divided the loot, no paperwork, no taxes, no intervention from anyone getting a piece of it.

I have never invested in Crypto, but I have considered it very seriously.
After seeing Canada just flip the switch on digital bank accounts, it looks stupid to get into Crypto.

Rumors of a bank run in Canada, people moving to physical assets.
If this is happening , this is entirely created by the heavy hand of Justin Castro.

I have lots of questions.
Is it happening ?
Is Canada silently ordering a Bank holiday ?
Will this create a domino effect in global markets ?

It really feels like people are going to lose their asses on Crypto. The big promise was government would not be able to touch it. And in a world where global fiats are more inflated than Stacy Abrahams they looked good. But as soon as Crypto was being used to fund an unapproved message they crushed it.

They can only crush the exchanges. People can still hold and trade it freely no matter what. You may not be able to use it to buy beer, but you can sell it to another guy for cash for beer.
