I have been doing the intermittent fasting thing for a while to great effect. But I am thinking about taking the plunge and fasting for days sometime at the end of the month.

Not sure if I have the willpower.

I did starve for about four days before, but it was painful most likely because during that time, I ate a couple of ration bars. So I kept having to deal with the hunger.



This guy has some good videos.


What's interesting to me is that, historically, people used to fast routinely. It was a normal thing that people did from time-to-time. Most religions have built fasting into their penance. Greeks used to do it for mental clarity.

It was only in the industrial age (Big Agra) that people started to get the idea that fasting was bad.


What I probably will do is keep shortening my eating window over the next few weeks and then close it to start a longterm fast.
